SCS is best described as a "delivery system" for religious education.
With an independent board of directors, administration, staff, and endowment, the School of Christian Studies provides an operational framework that allows excellent academic institutions, such as Howard Payne University and Logsdon Seminary, to extend their programs into the South Texas region.
This collaborative effort creates a unique opportunity for those interested in ministry preparation and theological education. SCS undergraduate students can receive a fully-accredited baccalaureate degree from Howard Payne University. SCS seminary students can receive a fully-accredited Master of Divinity through Logsdon Seminary.
The purpose of SCS is to prepare ministers and other leaders to change the world through service to their community.
The goal of SCS is to provide financially accessible, fully accredited programs of study. |
