Winter 2009–2010 Youth Basketball League

Registration: November 2–14, 2009
The City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is announcing the registration schedule for its Winter 2009–2010 Youth Basketball League. Girls and boys ages 6 to18 (as of December 31, 2009) are eligible to participate in this league.The season will begin in January 2010 and will run through mid-March 2010.
*REGISTRATION will be offered on November 2–14, 2009 from 11:30am–4:30pm at Ben Garza Gym (1815 Howard). WEEKEND REGISTRATION will be offered on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 11:30am–3:30pm at Gatti-Town; AND on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 11:30am–3:30pm at Corpus Christi Gym (3202 Cabaniss Parkway, next to the Cabaniss baseball field on Saratoga Blvd.). ONLINE REGISTRATION will be offered to customers for 24-hour convenience on November 2–15, 2009—simply go to www.ccparkandrec.com (click on “Programs”). Registration fee is $60.00 per person. Scholarships are available for qualifying participants.
LATE REGISTRATION will be offered on November 16–20, 2009 from 11:30am–1:30pm at Ben Garza Gym, AND at City Hall, 3rd floor, Parks & Recreation Department from 11:30am–4:00pm on same days. Late registration fee is $70.00 per person.
Participants will obtain a full understanding and importance of the basketball rules and the concept of teamwork. While this program provides structure and knowledge of the sport of basketball, it also promotes positive attitudes and the importance of adapting a lifestyle with recreational activities.
