OF BAH HUMBUG THROUGHOUT LONE STAR STATE

Award-winning actor presents one-man adaptation of the classic A Christmas Carol

SAN ANTONIO The Company Theatre is gearing up for its seventh annual Christmas tour of BAH HUMBUG throughout the state of Texas. Award-winning actor and Artistic Director of The Company, Damian Gillen, presents his unique, one-man adaptation of Dickens classic A Christmas Carol during a 10-city statewide tour, which begins on November 27^th 28^th at the Little Italy restaurant in San Antonio during a record-breaking tour of more than 30 shows in 30 days! The Texas tour will close at the Dougherty Arts Center (1110 Barton Springs Rd. in Austin) on December 20^th, 2009.

BAH HUMBUG is an imaginative adaptation of Charles Dickens' tale of hope and compassion, but it has a unique twist. Gillen plays all the roles in this theatrical extravaganza that chronicles the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is challenged to open his heart after being confronted by three spirits during a one-night whirlwind journey of redemption. The play is supported by numerous costume changes, special effects and traditional Celtic Christmas tunes.

Gillen has been acting professionally for more than 25 years and has served as the managing artistic director for The Company Theatre for the past 15 years. He has given more than 200 performances of BAH HUMBUG since 2002, and last year he completed 30 shows in 30 days, a record he will beat this season. Gillen will perform the production all across Texas in venues as far ranging as: a movie theater in Llano, the 1886 Stafford Opera House in Columbus, Dickens Celebration at the Bracken Village, a prison ministry in San Antonio, the 1800's Pioneer Farm in Austin, private parties, Church fundraisers, restaurants, numerous schools and the annual event at the famous Arneson River Theatre - on the riverwalk! (December 19^th)
