APRIL COOKING DEMONSTRATION

OSCAR GONZALEZ FEATURED CHEF
FOR THE APRIL COOKING DEMONSTRATION
AT THE GALVÁN HOUSE IN HERITAGE PARK


You are invited to participate in a wonder cooking demonstration on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 to learn some cooking secrets from former Nueces Club Chef, Oscar Gonzalez. Chef Gonzalez has more than 18 years experience as a chef in many capacities. He will prepare Chicken with Squash, and Brussels Sprouts in Mustard Sauce, along with a wonderful chilled bean potato tuna salad. Cost is $5 per person and includes the demonstration, recipes and food samples.


The City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Multicultural Services cooking demonstrations take place the 2nd Wednesday each month, at 10:30 a.m. in the Galván House in Heritage Park, 1581 N. Chaparral. Seating is limited, so make your reservation early by calling 883-0639.


Heritage Park, 1581 N. Chaparral, is the location of many beautifully restored homes reflecting the preservation of a cross section of some of the city’s earlier architecture. Many of the homes reflect the ethnic and cultural persity of Corpus Christi today. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm. Docent guided tours are offered Monday, Thursday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. Tour fees are $5 per adult.
