CALL FOR BBQ JUDGES

ANNOUNCING A CALL FOR BBQ JUDGES FOR THE
2005 Dos Equis BUC DAYS BBQ CHALLENGE
presented by Caller Times

The Buccaneer Commission announced today that it is looking for judges for the 2005 Dos Equis Buc Days BBQ Challenge presented by Caller Times. The announcement was made by Garland Barmore, Chairman of Judging for the BBQ Committee.

The requirements to be a judge are as follows:

Must be over 18 years old

The categories to be judged are:

Beans

Ribs

Chicken

Brisket

Each category will be judged at an appointed time between 9am and 5pm on Saturday, April 16, 2005. There will be preliminary, semifinals and final judging in each category. Each judging takes approximately 45 minutes to judge.

You may judge in more than one category.

If you judge a category, you are admitted into the BBQ Challenge for free on the day of the event, Saturday, April 16, 2005.

Please contact Garland by April 4 to be a judge.

The Buccaneer Commission is a non-profit organization that produces Buc Days, an annual festival designed to celebrate living in South Texas. Proceeds from Buc Days benefit the Buccaneer Commission scholarship program benefiting area youth.
