The City of Corpus Christi Park & Recreation Department’s Multicultural Services invites you to join us for an evening Chinese cooking demonstration on January 27, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The demonstration will be held In the Galvan House in Heritage Park.

Come celebrate the Chinese New Year at Heritage Park. Join Yalee Shih, as she presents a demonstration on how to prepare authentic Chinese Food. Born and raised in Taiwan, Yalee Shih has spent most of her life cooking. The Chinese Lunar New Year is the longest chronological record in history dating from 2600 BC. It measures time based on the astronomical observations of the movement of the Sun, Moon and stars, and is highly accurate. The Chinese Lunar Calendar names each of the twelve years after an animal. This is the year of the Monkey. Cost is $5 per person and includes the demonstration, recipes and food samples. Seating is limited; call 883-0639 to RSVP.
