
The City Corpus Christi Park & Recreation Departments Multicultural Services invites you to join us for a Soul Food cooking demonstration on February 12, 2003 from 10:30 a.m. 12Noon. The demonstration will be held In the Galvan House in Heritage Park.
Come celebrate Black History month at Heritage Park. Black History month takes a look at our nations past focusing on African-American traditions. Join Arnold Ellison as he presents a class on how to prepare oven baked chicken casserole, sugar snap snow peas, tossed green salad and peach cobbler. Mr. Ellison became interested in cooking at a very early age and was inspired by his mothers cooking. Come by for a fantastic demonstration and enjoy some tasty Soul Food. Cost is $5 per person and includes the demonstration, recipes and food samples. Seating is limited, call 883-0639 to RSVP.
The Multicultural Center is located in the beautifully restored Galvan House in Heritage Park at 1581 N. Chaparral. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 10:00am - 6:00pm, Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm.
