If you find your self confused about whether to serve your guest a Merlot or a Pinot Noir then the 15th Annual South Texas Public Radio Food and Wine Classic is your ticket to education about wine while enjoying a exquisite cuisine from the areas gourmet chefs.

The Food and Wine Classic takes place on January 30, 2003 at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History, 1900 N. Chaparral St. The annual fundraiser for KEDT is always a great place to mingle with friends and enjoy the sumptuous food provided by area restaurants and wines from around the world.

The evening is like a big open house where you visit tables of delicious food and wine setup throughout the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History. The exhibits provide an interesting backdrop, but you better come to the Museum on another day since tonight your eyes will be fixed on the tables and tables of fine foods such as prime beef from the Republic of Texas and fresh seafood from The Bayou Grill or Water Street. If your tastes are more casual you can enjoy the best South Texas Bar-B-Q from Macs or Mexican food from On the Border. Whatever your tastes, there is a restaurant for you.

And then to finish the evening, you will be sure to enjoy deserts from Janet's Cakery and the Cookie Bouquet to name just a few participating restaurants.

The evening features over 200 wines from around the world. As you visit each table be sure to take a notepad or PDA to make notes about your favorite wines. Since area restaurants and distributors are hosting the tables you will be sure to find your favorite wine at HEB or a local spirit retailer.

The Food and Wine Classic is definitely a night that you do not want to miss.
