SUBGRANT FUNDING & WORKSHOP FOR NON-PROFIT ART ORGANIZATIONS
FOR YEAR 2006
The City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, through the Arts & Cultural Commission, is offering financial assistance grants to non-profit, community-oriented arts and cultural organizations whose primary focus is the arts. Grants are available to art organizations dedicated to providing a variety of high quality arts programs and activities to the citizens of Corpus Christi. The programs must take place during calendar year January 1 through December 31, 2006. Grant applications may be picked up beginning April 1, 2005, at the Galván House in Heritage Park. The application will also be available online at www.ccparkandrec.com; simply click on Arts Subgrant Program, then Subgrant Year 2006 Application.
To assist applicants in completing the forms, a Voluntary GRANT WORKSHOP is always held the 3rd Tuesday of the month. This year it takes place April 19, 2005, at 12:00 noon at the Galván House in Heritage Park, 1581 N. Chaparral. The workshop will present all the information and paperwork pertaining to the grants, how to apply, and how to receive assistance in applying for a grant. There is no charge for the workshop, but please call ahead to register. The application deadline for 2006 grant applications is Friday, April 29, 2005, by 5 p.m., if delivered to the Galván House or Saturday, April 30, if mailed.
