MAYOR NEAL PROCLAIMS OCTOBER 23 AND 24 TEXAS FAMILY BUSINESS DAYS
Mayor Loyd Neal has proclaimed October 23 and October 24, 2004 as Texas Family Business Days in Corpus Christi. The proclamation was made at the request of the Texas Family Business Association and Scholarship Foundation.
In the proclamation, the Mayor noted that Family-owned businesses have been the driving force behind growth and have built a foundation of prosperity in the United States, the State of Texas and the City of Corpus Christi, by creating jobs and offering vital goods and services. Mayor Neal also noted that family-owned businesses range in size from small stores and restaurants to large corporations that operate on a national and international scale. All of those businesses have helped create an economically healthy and culturally diverse city with a strong sense of family and community.
